Israeli singers Chocolate Menta Mastik aka שוקולד מנטה מסטיק appeared a couple of times wearing denim vests in 1976-1977. In 1976 they were part of the Eurovision Song Contest in Den Haag. The names of the ladies are Jardena Arasi, Ruthie Holzman und Leah Lupatin. Pictures found in the WWW

Sometimes it's hard to identify the age of Wrangler denim vests, because some of their products didn't change their look over the years and appeared the same way in the 1970s, the 1990s, the y2k and now. The pictures are from the present Wrangler collection.
This is a vintage denim vest made by SILVER DOLLAR'S. I'm not sure, if it is 1970s or 1990s, but I think it looks more 1990s than 1970s. Found in the WWW

I found another vintage vest by SILVER DOLLAR'S. This hardly looks like been made and sold in the 1990s. According to the last picture showing the inlay, SILVER DOLLAR'S may have been a Swedish jeans brand:
