Redupers

Redupers shows the city of West Berlin in March 1977. At a vernissage near the end of the movie I've spotted a short moment showing two women crossing the picture nearly at the same time and both wear denim vests.

Christiane F (1981)

Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo is a famous German movie from 1981 about drug abuse by young people in West Berlin in the later 1970s. It was filmed in the very early eighties, but I've spotted one girl with a 1970s denim vest in the movie: the younger sister of Christiane in a short segment of the movie appearing with an authentic tomboyisch look.

She's grabbing another piece of clothes here, which was also very popular in West Germany and West Berlin in the second half of the 1970s: a parka looking like a real Bundeswehrparka, a piece of clothing from the West German military Bundeswehr. So she matches a realistic outfit from the later 1970s: denim on denim with Blue Jeans and Jeansweste and a Bundeswehrparka over it.

There were more denim vests appearing in the Christiane F - movie. But not on women. Here is Thomas Haustein as Christianes friend Detlef.

And Eberhard Auriga with a unusual selfmade looking denim vest in his role as a drug addict:

I saw the last picture in a documentary about the real Christiane F, showing another tomboy girl with denim vest, together with Christiane:
