Kümo Henriette

German actress Uta Stammer appeared with denim vest in episode 4 of the 1979 German TV-series KÜMO HENRIETTE. Resolution and light are only average, but it's possible to recognize, that Uta wears blue jeans, a blouse and a denim vest.

Woman from Belfast

I always like to add another corner of the world, we had not have before. Now it's Northern Ireland, where denim waistcoats seem to have been worn too in the 1970s.

The woman here wears no denim waistcoat, but a denim on denim like dress that imitates the look of a jeans skirt and a denim waistcoat over it.

The dress was made by the British jeans company Falmers Jeanius or Falmers:

The dress was designed with the look of another popular denim waistcoat model from the FALMERS collection, that wasn't shown here before:

Mamma Mia !

Yesterday I wrote about British actress Sally-Jane Spencer and her Falmers denim waistcoat. Now it's time and a good opportunity to create the long waiting post about the British-American ABBA movie Mamma Mia 2 or Mamma Mia! Here we go again from 2018. Because the two vintage denim waistcoats and blue jean vests by British jeans company FALMERS are the secret main stars in the movie for me.

There is British-Welsh actress Alexa Davies on the left and American actress Jessica Keenan Wynn on the right. Both wear real 1970s denim waistcoats from British company FALMERS or FALMER JEANIUS as part of their 1970s stage outfit.

Alexa Davies wears a popular denim waistcoat model by FALMERS with three metal buttons closure and a jeans braid on the back, the one also seen yesterday on Sally-Jane Spencer.

Jessica Keenan Wynn wears another popular denim waistcoat model by FALMERS with four metal buttons closure and three pockets on the front, two vest pockets on the hips and one on the breast.

There would also have been another denim waistcoat model for the third main actress Lily James, a model designed close to Jessicas, but with five button closure. But Lily did not wear a denim waistcoat in the sequence. Maybe she didn't like denim waistcoats, maybe there was no FALMERS waistcoat available for her or in her size. Who knows? Too bad, I would have really liked to see her also wear a denim waistcoat in the movie.

FALMERS had more denim waistcoat models, but these three have been the most popular. You can see the five button model also on Janey Bombshell, worn as part of a denim outfit in the SuperSonic 70s Show.

I think the first and also most important scene, were the denim vests and waistcoats appear, is the one in the Greek tavern, were the three main actresses in the 1979 timeline perform ABBAs Mamma Mia.

After the stage and tavern performance of Mamma Mia the three actresses go on with the story, but keep the outfits on some more minutes.

Later there is another scene in the Greek tavern with Alexa Davies wearing the denim waistcoat again paired with another outfit.

At the end of the movie Alexa Davies performs in a third and last outfit with adding her danim waistcoat. Thank you very much Alexa!
