Inga and Sandra

 

Schulmädchen Report was a very very successfull series of German movies, especially in the first half of the 1970s. The 11th part of Schulmädchen Report seems to have been photographed in the winter of 1976 / 1977. German actresses Inga Werdenigg (above) and Sandra Atia (below) appear in different episodes of this erotic mockumentary, but wear the same denim vest while their performances.

I always wondered about this clothing mystery. Is it really the same vest, worn by both actresses? 

A - One vest theory:

This would be possible, if the denim vest was part of the costum section and chosen by both women for their performance in the movie. Or they were girlfriends and maybe used to share parts of their clothing. 

B - Two vests theory:

Another idea to explain it: the movie may have been filmed in and around Munich and in this region in Bavaria that special model of denim vest was popular in the late 1976 and early 1977 and worn by many women. So popular, that both actresses owned one piece of the denim vest model independently from each other and they also chosed to wear the vest in the movie without knowing the other one will wear the vest too. They appear in different episodes, so it's possible, that they haven't met while the filming. 

First once again the sequence with Inga Werdenigg stripping off her denim vest:

While Ingas performance you can also study another mystery, not only appearing in this movie: the button closure mystery. 

On the way to the barn and while the first parts of the scene inside the barn, showing the talking between the boys and girls, Ingas denim vest is completely buttoned with four metal buttons, the typical closure on denim vests in those days. 

And then, when the stripping off sequence starts, the button closure of the vest was suddenly changed by ghost fingers, three buttons are opened from one to the other moment, only one button is closed anymore.

This is a phenomenon, not only appearing in Schulmädchen Report Part 11, but also in other movies, loops or tv-series, where closures of denim vest have to be opened in front of the camera. There sometimes may be problems to unbutton a denim vest smooth and fast, and the one, who tries to unbutton the metal buttons from the denim button holes may stuck in action, because the metal buttons don't want to leave their denim button holes without fighting. I remember to have seen an actor in another movie really fighting with the womans denim vest while unbuttoning it, finally have to use raw power to get it opened. Maybe Inga had also problems with opening her vest while rehearsing the scene, so the movie's director decided to speed up the unbuttoning process and Inga had only to open one closed button in the movie's stripping sequence. 

Second once again Sandra Atia wearing the denim vest while listening with her girlfriends at a closed door with some supposedly erotic action behind. 

By the way, I don't know, what brand or model this denim vest was, I never have seen a piece like this offered at the vintage denim and second hand clothing market. So if you have an idea, be invited to leave a comment here with the information. Thanks!
