The Playmates were a girls band from Trondheim in Norway, appearing with lots of denim on their vinyl covers from 1975 (above) and 1976 (below). Names were Berit Langø, Rigmor Østmo, Heidi Holås and Grete Nilsen. Not totally sure, if the pieces they wear, are denim vests, but they are definitely sleeveless and made of denim.
1970s or 1990s, that's the question. American actress Kate McKinnon appeared with a vintage blue jean vest in the 2016 American movie MASTERMINDS. The movie is set in the year 1997, so this is a reason for thinking about the vintage denim vest. On the one hand it's possible, that Kate plays a woman in the late 1990s wearing a vintage 1970s denim vest. On the other hand it seems more possible to me, that the vintage denim vest, brand GAMIN, worn by Kate wasn't a 1970s, but a 1990s denim vest.

I always thought, the GAMIN vest has a great 1970s look, but with a view on the backside ornamentation and the frontside pocket ornamentation I'm not sure anymore, this is more 1990s thant 1970s.
